Crane NA2 is a 1U 19” 2-channel stereo switcher that will switch to a standby program if the audio from the primary or main channel fails.
Inputs and outputs are configured for standard balanced line on XLR connectors. A gain control allows for a wide range of program input levels to accommodate the minimum input level defined as ‘NO AUDIO’. Care must be exercised as too much gain could interpret line noise as accepted program signal. Too little gain could result in low level over extended periods (acceptable program) to be interpreted as no signal.
Present state of output routing is permanently displayed with a green led indicating primary out while a red led indicates the standby program routed to the output.
Timers for both no audio and audio restored delays can be adjusted from 5 to 250 seconds. Center position is approximately 120 seconds.
With power switched off the unit defaults to main or the primary input source. The main output is also selected on switch on.
